Interviewing/Interrogations

Preparation is a key element and a first step in the process of interview and interrogating. The style, appearance and approach of the interviewer and interrogator are a major factor in being successful in this type of investigation. At Quest Associates of Ohio, we utilize the Reid Behavioral Analysis Technique. A technique that many federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, as well as major corporations, require for their investigations. By identifying behavior symptoms, it makes it easier to determine whether the suspect is telling the truth vs. deception about the involvement in the matter under investigation. Specific body movements, facial expressions, eye contact, attitudes, postures, grooming gestures and specific verbal cues and timing of these can indicate whether the subject is being deceptive and/or withholding relevant information. People who commit crimes do so to fulfill certain needs. Knowing the need is essential to the interviewer/ interrogator as it allows them to successfully bring the guilty subject through the stages of the interrogation and to get an admission of guilt.

The Reid Technique is also effect for applicant interviewing. Weeding out the problem applicants; we can help. The integrity interview is a highly structured, professionally conducted interview with a job applicant. Purpose is to develop factual information about the applicant's past behavioral patterns. Specific areas assessed during the interview: employment history, work-related alcohol, recently use of illegal drugs, theft and related activities and violations of company policy and criminal behavior. Also, for that candidate that you're just not sure about or perhaps would like assistance with the interview, allow us to assist you in using these proven techniques and strategy methods that identify deception, encourage candidness and uncover more information that will get more accurate and complete information.
